• Accountability: At Newcomb Electric, “accountability” is much more than just a trendy buzzword. It is manifested in a written “Accountability Program” that requires management at all levels, including the very top management, to submit timely reports that address detailed and specific safety issues for which they are held accountable. It doesn't just stop there either. These reports are compiled and “audited” for compliance with the program's standards. Holding all employees accountable for their actions is taken very seriously.
  
• Hot Work Policy: Sometimes in the electrical business we are called upon to do work that is exceptionally dangerous. Our written “Hot Work Policy” has become a model program, so impressive, that it has been adopted by many of our large industrial customers as their own. It is a program that is based on two fundamental principals:
  
  One: It is infinitely smarter to explore every possible means of de-energizing systems than to work them “hot”.
  
  Two: We are professionals. If systems must be worked hot, we will take every precaution to protect our employees and the interests of our customers.
